Delicious Weight Loss Recipes

The Holidays are approaching and everybody is trying to fit in their best clothes. The family gatherings and reunions bring us many opportunities to gain some weight. I will like to share some recipes that are delicious but are low in calories. Let's begin!!!

Caribbean Chicken Breast Fillets

Ingredients:
6 skinless chicken breast fillets
2 cloves garlic minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of oil
1 tablespoon of lime juice
2 teaspoons of hot sauce (optional)
barbecue sauce (low fat)
1 package of black bean and rice

Procedure :
  1. Combine the first six ingredients in a shallow dish. Add the fillets, turning to coat all surfaces. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes, turning the fillets after 15 minutes and spooning the marinade over the fillets.
  2. Prepare the black bean and rice mix according to package directions.
  3. Heat broiler or prepare the grill.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade. Broil or grill over medium heat 10 or 15 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink, turning occasionally. Apply the barbecue sauce during the last 8 minutes of grilling.
  5. Serve the chicken breast fillets with black beans and rice.
Makes six servings. Calories 320 per serving

Cafe Latte Latino

Hi Friends,
One of the greatest things that I enjoy is to cook and share with friends. When my friends come to visit me, I always try to let them taste some of our dishes and they always ask me for the recipe. Lately, I am cooking only during weekends because of my studies. I am looking for some recipes that are tasty, fast and easy to do. I will also share some of my weekend recipes and others for when you really do not have time to cook. The recipes are not original mine, I have adopted them through years and they are really good! I hope you enjoy them.
Now that Fall is here and the nights are getting cooler, how about tasting a nice hot cup of caffe latte. You will not have to go out of your house to enjoy it. The recipe for today is:

Cafe con Leche (Cafe Latte)

Ingredients
4 tablespoons of coffee (your favorite)
4 cups of water ( 3 cups of water for stronger coffee)
2 cups of milk
sugar or Splenda as you like
Procedure:
Brew your coffee in your coffeepot as usual. Boil the milk in a small pot until it begins to rise. Stir it while boiling. Pour the milk in the cup until it is half full or 3/4 if you like it less strong. Pour coffee until the cup is full. Put the amount of sugar that you like and enjoy your own caffe latte.
